Position Overview

The client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Woodstock, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on a wide variety of residential and light commercial projects while taking ownership of the design process from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have structural design experience, a strong understanding of residential wood framing, and the ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver practical, code-compliant engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design structural systems for residential and light commercial projects.

  • Prepare structural calculations, framing plans, foundation designs, and construction documents.

  • Develop and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.

  • Review plans for code compliance and engineering standards.

  • Perform occasional local site visits to verify existing conditions and support project execution.

  • Collaborate with architects, builders, contractors, and clients throughout the design process.

  • Assist with engineering solutions for renovations, additions, repairs, and new construction.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

  • Structural design experience.

  • Residential wood framing design experience preferred.

  • AutoCAD experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
