INTEGRAL MOLECULAR, Inc., is a Philadelphia-based biotech company specializing in the discovery and characterization of therapeutic antibodies. We use cutting-edge technology platforms to enable the discovery of novel therapeutics against hard-to-access targets. We are in an exciting growth phase where we are launching new products and reaching new markets!  

Our close-knit, medium-sized company is composed of smart, curious, diverse scientists who take an active interest in the scientific and technical development of our team members. We seek a Research Associate I to join our dedicated group of scientists. A desirable candidate will have the skills to culture mammalian and/or bacterial cells, perform DNA mini-preps, and complete bacterial transformations or cell transfections. 

As an entry level research associate, this position offers you: 

  • Technical and scientific development leading to professional advancement or graduate school 
  • Opportunity to use automated liquid handling robots to implement high-throughput assays 
  • Development of report writing and presentation skills, which may include FDA IND submission material 
  • Collaboration and mentorship from senior scientists 

What you will do at Integral Molecular: 

  • Perform assigned tasks in the lab, including cell culture, DNA-handling, flow cytometry in a 384-well format, and the associated data analysis 
  • Use liquid-handling robots to perform antibody stains, washes, and dilutions  
  • Troubleshoot experimental and equipment issues 
  • Follow SOPs to complete experiments and assays, including good record keeping 
  • Assist in the preparation of customer-facing reports and deliverables 
  • Independently plan a daily schedule, which may include balancing multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Present data at team and company-wide meetings  

The successful candidate will have

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, bioengineering, or a related field 
  • 1-2 years of laboratory experience (internships and student jobs are applicable) 
  • A strong working knowledge of MS Excel 
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with a collaborative and proactive attitude 
  • Inherent drive to work in a fast-paced environment focused on meeting customer deadlines
