About the Role:
The team is looking for an entry-level R&D Engineer to support the identification, evaluation, and development of emerging technologies. This position offers an opportunity to work hands-on with research and testing projects while collaborating with internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is technically curious, passionate about learning, and interested in developing innovative solutions within a research and medical device environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of individual research and testing project plans
  • Support the development of test programs and formulate test protocols
  • Identify and select appropriate test equipment for research and testing activities
  • Perform and support laboratory testing and evaluation of technologies
  • Monitor scientific and medical literature for advancements relevant to research objectives
  • Provide technical evaluations and support to Development, Manufacturing, Legal, and other departments
  • Communicate project progress and results through meetings, reports, and technical documentation
  • Analyze problems and contribute to the development of technical solutions
  • Collaborate with team members while also contributing independently to research initiatives


Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering required
  • 0–3 years of experience in an academic or industry setting
  • Technical knowledge in science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong curiosity and interest in a broad range of technologies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with laboratory testing and test equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis preferred
  • Familiarity with national and international testing standards preferred
  • Experience in orthopedics or medical devices is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for learning and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
