Job description

The Software Account Manager supports the Software Consultants and our sales teams in responding to current customer requests for projects which involve changes in scope to their current installation of Bastian Solutions' software suite (Exacta). This role focuses on providing excellent customer service to Bastian's existing software client base to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
Job Functions:
  • Develop a solid understanding of Bastian's Exacta software.
  • Research existing customer system documentation with the help of Bastian Solutions' Software Delivery team to understand current functionality.
  • Lead conversations with our customers to understand the "why" behind a customer request and propose the best solution.
  • Work with our Software Delivery team to communicate requirements and develop cost estimates in a timely manner.
  • Generate software-specific proposals to support our Regional Sales teams.
  • Provide excellent customer service by staying engaged with our customers long-term as their business needs change and evolve.
  • Support our Software Operations team by being hands-on supporting testing and go-live efforts if needed.
  • Support our consulting and sales teams as the software subject matter expert - defining software scope and requirements, providing design feedback.
  • Support the Software Consulting team in requirements gathering and scope definition efforts with our customers in the sales process.
  • Assist our customer support teams if needed.

Travel Requirements:
  • 20% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics)
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • 1-2 years' experience in technical sales
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or industrial preferred) or related technical/supply chain field.
  • Technical mindset with a strong desire to learn, ask questions and seek answers
  • Positive, problem-solving mentality
  • Entrepreneurial, optimistic about pursuing opportunities
  • Confident communication, presentation skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment and automation
  • Experience with warehouse automation applications, software experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading or supporting technical sales preferred
  • Understanding of networking and IT hardware fundamentals a preferred
  • Loves meeting people, building relationships and working in a team environment
  • Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
