Job description

Account Executive

At Sparkpr we work with some of the brightest brands in the world (and those you'll be hearing about soon) to support customer acquisition and branding strategies and their tactical execution. We are looking for driven individuals to join our team and help Spark grow!

Position Summary:

As an Account Executive at Sparkpr, you are a proactive driver of outcomes. You lead with action, anticipate needs before they're spoken, and consistently deliver measurable media wins. You integrate AI tools into your workflow to uncover insights, streamline execution, and outpace the competition. You are energized by the chase and unfazed by the word "no."

This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-impact environments where curiosity, speed, and results matter most:

  • Develop and maintain strong industry relationships with media, analysts, and other influencers
  • Deliver high-visibility wins for your clients through pitching and securing media opportunities, writing (media pitches, press releases, and speaker submissions) as well as coordinating tours and campaigns
  • Demonstrate strong strategic skills and the ability to interact effectively with client executives, consistently demonstrating understanding of client business, market, and competitive situation
  • Knowledgeable counsel and make recommendations to clients on matters relating to your programs
  • Develop strategy and execute action plans to support client announcements and initiatives; display good judgment when making decisions related to client initiatives and accounts
  • Understand and follow major industry trends affecting clients, the events driving news cycles, and demonstrate the ability to proactively exploit them on behalf of clients
  • Effectively coordinate and work both up and down within teams
  • Contribute to new business pitches through research, brainstorming and program creation; effectively present at new business meetings and pitches as appropriate
  • Actively manage productivity and find ways to make tangible agency contributions
  • Manage junior staff and consultants on project deliverables
  • Track client billable time daily
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time

What Sets You Apart

  • Proactive and Execution-Oriented: You don't wait to be asked. You spot the need, raise your hand, and follow through. You're known for your ability to get things done quickly and correctly.
  • Resilient and Media-Savvy: You are a coverage catalyst. You are relentless, persuasive, and strategic. You view rejections as a challenge rather than a setback and find creative ways to break through.
  • Energized by Movement: You thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same. You're organized enough to juggle competing priorities and flexible enough to adapt quickly.
  • AI-Driven and Future-Focused: You aren't just aware of AI. You actively use it. You experiment with tools to enhance your work and stay ahead of the curve.

Why Work At Spark?

  • Remote Work Flexibility
  • Competitive and Flexible Paid Vacation Policy
  • Sparkpr covers 95-100% of health, dental, and vision for our employees.
  • You can also count on a company-managed 401K, Flexible Spending Accounts, and monthly cell phone subsidies.
