As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating and leading consumer support groups to foster community engagement and peer support.
• Collaborating in staff meetings and case conferences, contributing your insights to improve patient care strategies.
• Conducting thorough individual assessments and meetings with consumers, family members, and other agency professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans.
• Assisting clients with social service needs as outlined by the clinical team, maintaining active communication with local agencies and civic organizations for consumer advocacy.
• Coordinating with interns and volunteers to plan and implement activities that cater to the specific needs of clients.
• Building and maintaining relationships with potential referral sources, ensuring a robust intake process for new clients.
• Upholding the highest ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality, and adhering to the Code of Ethics set forth by the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
• Maintaining compliance with JCAHO, Medicaid, and DBH standards while assisting in the organization's accreditation processes.
• Completing psychosocial assessments and treatment plans, including meticulously documenting client progress.
• Implementing treatment plans under clinical supervision while ensuring precise documentation of treatment plans, daily progress notes, unusual incident reports, and discharge summaries.

Our client base primarily includes individuals experiencing mental health challenges related to perinatal issues, including anxiety and depression during pregnancy and postpartum periods. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting these clients through holistic treatment approaches that focus on their unique experiences and needs. By leveraging community resources and referrals, you will enhance the support network available to our clients, contributing to better outcomes in their mental health journey.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• A currently valid Social Work License in line with state regulations (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment in an outpatient mental health agency.
• Exceptional communication skills, characterized by the ability to share information clearly, listen attentively, and respect the insights of others.
• A clean professional background with no history of Medical Malpractice Claims, verified by third-party sources.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience specifically in perinatal mental health or comprehensive knowledge of community resources related to mental health will be given preference. Familiarity with treatment modalities aligned with current best practices in the mental health sector is also advantageous.
