From designing resilient highways and iconic bridges to advancing transit, passenger and freight rail, aviation, federal transportation ports and marine infrastructure, your work will directly support economic vitality, public safety, sustainable and resilient communities and quality of life. We bring together planners, engineers, architects, construction management staff, environmental, strategic communications, economists, management consultants and specialists across disciplines to solve complex mobility challenges with innovation, technical excellence, and a deep understanding of community needs.

In the role of Rail Transit EIT, we'll count on you to: * Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers to develop track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates * Develop design criteria, project guides, project meeting minutes, and project controls while supporting Project Manager * Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger rail and transit projects * Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed * Proficiency in Bentley specifically ORD * Support mentorship of entry level rail and transit staff * Familiarity and experience with local agencies (UDOT, UTA, HVT) Preferred Qualifications * Prefer basic knowledge of InRoads/InRail, OpenRail Designer, and/or Civil3D Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. * Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD * MS Office Applications experience * Strong interest in railroad design * An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
