Job Summary:
- Entry-level certified cardiovascular technologist.
- Utilizes basic skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes.
- Works under close supervision within clearly defined standard operating procedures (SOP) and/or scientific methods; adheres to quality guidelines.
- Assists in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Perform independently on ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI) calls (“codes STEMI”).
- Scrubs, circulates, and monitors procedures (e.g., left heart catheterizations (LHC), right heart catheterizations (RHC), percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), STEMI, fractional flow reserve/instantaneous wave-free ratios (FFR/iFR), intravascular ultrasounds (IVUS), and Impella® balloon pumps).
- Provides the highest-quality patient care and safety during patients’ stays in the Heart Catherization Laboratory.
- Implements Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare’s (TMH), Nursing Services’ and the Heart Catherization Laboratory Laboratory’s philosophies, goals, policies, and procedures.

Required Education:
- Associate degree in cardiovascular technology or radiologic technology from an accredited program
Required Experience:
- None
Preferred Experience:
- One (1) year of job-related experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) certification, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential, or other recognized related Human Resources (HR) approved certification(s). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one (1) year post-hire.
