Job description

Position Summary

The role is responsible for supporting process and equipment validation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitating process improvement initiatives. Develops and reviews documentation and procedures, and provides automation systems testing and validation in support of Process Development and/or Manufacturing Process Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support process and equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, and process characterization) and develop Master Validation Plans for new processes or products.
  • Review and provide input on process validation protocols and reports; support other functional areas during validation activities.
  • Collaborate with the Process Development team to qualify new processes efficiently, including assisting with statistical sampling plans and other development procedures.
  • Design and implement in-process and receiving quality systems for new processes and components.
  • Define and validate gages, tools, and equipment for test methods.
  • Identify and control manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming materials, customer complaints) through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support creation of risk analyses and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs).
  • Develop process monitoring systems by identifying critical process steps and applying methods to reduce process variation and defects.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by capturing quality metric data, performing analyses, and enhancing sustaining product design and new product development.
  • Assist in the development of quality tools and training materials, identifying more effective methods where current tools and materials are limited.
  • Evaluate systems, operations, and practices for compliance with regulations and company documentation; serve as an auditor for assigned areas of the quality system.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in process validation, quality systems development, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality tools, training materials, and process monitoring systems.
  • Experience in risk assessment and FMEA methodologies is preferred.
