Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or bioprocess engineering
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a design firm setting
- Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, developing and implementing list of discipline systems designs
- Fundamental experience with chemistry/biochemistry
- Fundamental experience with process modeling, material and energy balances and basic sizing calculations
- Fundamental experience with fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling and fundamental heat transfer
- Strong communication skills and ability to participate in internal cross-discipline project team coordination
- Proficient at fundamental discipline design calculations under the supervision of an engineer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
- Proficiency in engineering software applications including computer-aided drafting, process modeling and calculation programs
