We are seeking an entry-level Quality Control Inspector who thrives in using precision test instruments like calipers, micrometers, and programmable measurement tools to confirm product specifications and disposition defective items according to established procedures. You will perform visual, mechanical, functional, and dimensional inspections across diverse medical device product lines, capturing data in software systems and utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and quality reviews of device history records. In this role, you'll serve as both reviewer and approver for products and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

What You Will Do
  • Perform inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure the values and record functional operation of components.
  • Determine acceptability and recommend disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify sample compliance to blueprints/drawings and material specifications.
  • Generate Non-conformance Reports for submitted product found out of specification.
  • Communicates with quality and development engineers concerning product and documentation defects.
  • Utilize shop math techniques (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division), dexterity and mechanical aptitude to operate precision equipment.
  • Complete tasks accurately and on-time, paying close attention to detail.
  • Review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness according to cGMP's to ensure timely release of batches.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies and issues with manufacturing/operations personnel in a timely manner to allow for product release.
  • Responsible for final batch disposition, certificate of compliance and/or analysis, based on review of all associated documentation.
  • Proactively work to ensure schedules are maintained.
  • Build quality into all aspect of the material release process by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
  • Participate in continuous learning and problem solving.
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Qualifications
What You Will Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge on use of calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and programmable equipment (Keyence, OGP, Vision System & 3D Scanners)
  • Ability work in a team setting or individually
  • Ability to read blueprints / Drawings specifications / FAI
  • Working knowledge of Word & Excel software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks & responsibilities with competing priorities
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
  • Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards
  • Ability to Inspect, Test and Measure parts of all sizes and difficulty
  • Ability to operate electronic software and equipment
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly, inspection and production processes
  • Ability to gather data, generate reports and present finding to peers of all levels, confidently
  • This position serves the Quality Control Group which includes the need to work on export controlled products from aerospace and defense customers.

Preferred Educational Background & Experience
  • Associate Degree
  • Vocational Tech certificate
  • Prior experience in a production / inspection / documentation / manufacturing / development / GMP and 6s, highly preferred
