Job description

IAT Insurance Group (IAT) has an immediate opening for an Auto Physical Damage and Property Damage Claims Analyst that can be located in one of the following IAT offices:

  • Naperville, Illinois
  • Virginia Beach, Virginia
  • Raleigh, North Carolina

This position manages, investigates and resolves vehicle damage claims for total loss and non-total loss claims. The candidate will provide quality customer service to meet the needs of the insured, claimant, and all internal and external customers.

This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes timely handling of auto claims (total loss and non-total loss) to ensure proper valuations, timely settlement offers and responses to counteroffers as well as proper settlement outcomes according to state statutes and regulatory policy
  • Compliant with Claims Best Practices to ensure claim handling discipline and superior quality
  • Establishes 24-hour contact and maintains appropriate contact with all involved stakeholders throughout the life of the claim file
  • Ensures timely and accurate reserving practices
  • Ensures adequacy of reserves, confirms, or denies coverage and advises policyholders and claimants as to proper course of action
  • Negotiates settlements within prescribed authority and explains denials to policyholders, claimants, and attorneys
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • HS degree/GED with 2+ years of relevant claims experience
  • Appropriate claims adjuster licenses
  • Skilled at recognizing questionable coverage/contract situations which necessitate supervisory involvement and able to demonstrate a thorough understanding and use of basic policy/contract coverages
  • Strong understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple claims work systems
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have:

  • Associate/Bachelor's degree
  • Experience handling commercial claims
  • Experience handling non- total loss claims for commercial and personal lines customers

Compensation:

Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $41,470 - $90,270. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
