ATL is seeking Geotechnical Driller Assistant candidates. This position provides an opportunity to work in a diverse marketplace and offers a challenging and rewarding career with opportunity for advancement. Experienced and entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.


Geotechnical Driller Assistant Responsibilities and Duties

  • Mobilization of drilling equipment and supplies to various locations throughout New York State
  • Assist with maintaining drill rigs and associated equipment to execute geotechnical and environmental investigation programs in accordance with industry standards and project specific scopes of work
  • Operate in a safe manner according to OSHA and project specified standards
  • Prepare boring, test pit, and monitor well construction logs
  • Assist with Installation of geotechnical instrumentation
  • Effectively communicate with Drillers and other members of the project team

Geotechnical Driller Assistant Qualifications and Skills

  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Experience operating and/or hauling heavy equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with and around machinery
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Willing to travel throughout New York State
  • A valid New York State Class A CDL driver's license
  • A positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Enjoying working outdoors in a hands-on environment
