We’re seeking an Entry Level Accounting Specialist interested in working in a positive team environment at a successful tech company. The Entry Level Accounting Specialist reports to the Controller and is an important member of the accounting department. This position is responsible for the coordination and processing of daily and periodic invoices, among other duties.

Requirements:

  • A team player willing to show initiative and go the extra mile to ensure smooth operations
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Dependable and responsible with a positive attitude and strong communications skills
  • 2-year degree or two years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus

Billing & Collection Responsibilities:

  • Process time & material jobs to create and submit invoices
  • Verify billing against sales quotes
  • Match customer purchase orders to billing documents
  • Accurately assign costs from warehouse to job during billing processing
  • Ensure timely delivery of customer invoices
  • Follow up with customers to complete payment within contract terms
  • Research late payments and effectively communicate issues to Controller and CEO

Misc. Duties:

  • Answer incoming calls to the accounting department
  • Assist accounting department with monthly reports
  • Special projects as assigned by management
