We have an immediate need for an Entry Level Project Engineer in the microelectronics/semiconductor space in the Minneapolis area.  

Salary:  $65000 - $75000

Travel: Up to 25%

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

The Project Engineer supports the engineering team by preparing project documentation related to process and equipment design to support the project team. Ensures Kurita America quality standards are maintained throughout the execution phase of projects. Acts as a technical resource for internal and external customers on engineering related items.


  • Reviews Sales proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specifications to establish project requirements and supports the project design process
  • Selects/sizes main system components such as pumps, valves and meters
  • Provides process review including water chemistry, hydraulic and instrumentation perspective for system troubleshooting support, customer communication, and corrective action with some oversight
  • Reviews and approves Process and Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings
  • Provides engineering calculations as required.
  • Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements.
  • Assist Purchasing with the qualification process for new suppliers to expand Kurita America’s equipment capabilities.
  • Assist in the development of new standard product offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups involved with the engineering and production processes.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Up to 1 year of combined Internship/practical Engineering experience
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead design focused teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer, or ability to attain registration.

Physical and Mental requirements: Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner:

  • Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
  • Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
  • Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
