ABOUT THE TEAM
The Media Investment team is a skilled group of individuals supporting Agencies and Brands with strategic media buying across DSP, Search, Social, and Direct channels. The Media Investment team is agile, solutions-oriented, and focused on campaign performance metrics. Support spans both managed service and self-service customers who are looking for experienced buying support for positive business results.
WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
The Search Investment practice is a subset of individuals with specialized expertise working inside self-serve platforms as well as Basis' own technology. The Search Media Buyer is responsible for owning and executing search media investment, serving as the day-to-day buying lead while partnering closely with Integrated Client Solutions, Analytics, Ad Operations, and Sales. This role blends strong executional rigor with strategic thinking, proactive communication, and accountability for campaign performance, quality, and process adherence. Buyers commonly work across Google, YouTube, Bing, Walmart, Amazon and other self-serve platforms. Responsibilities include:
  • Execute and optimize search campaigns against defined performance goals.

  • Translate client objectives into clear buying and optimization strategies.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure campaign quality and process adherence.

  • Deliver insights, recommendations, and proactive client communication to showcase a strong understanding of the paid search landscape and the latest products, solutions, consumer behaviors, and best practices.

  • Leverage Basis tools and AI to improve efficiency and consistency

  • Follow established processes and collaborate smoothly across teams.

  • Test new strategies and tactics, adopt a growth mindset, and provide visibility into optimizations and results for cross-functional teams

  • Develop strong problem solving abilities to identify and troubleshoot technical issues with creative, tactics, URL's, pixels, ad management platforms, and other campaign settings when necessary (this may include adopting new processes or workflow modifications to ensure accountability)

  • Invest in learning and sharing knowledge that strengthens the team.

  • Adopt and help improve Basis features and best practices.

  • Client-facing and in-person support is required, as needed, to maintain customer needs and remain committed to training

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • 2+ years of search buying experience

  • Strong optimization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with first-party and third-party data and tagging/pixel placement

  • Advanced Excel proficiency

  • Strong critical and strategic thinking

  • Precise attention to detail

  • Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported.

  • Thoughtful approach to collaboration, design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning.

BONUS POINTS
  • Experience in an agency setting

  • Google Ads certified

$68,637 - $82,000 a year
This salary range reflects a typical compensation range for the role and level in most U.S. locations. Final compensation offered will depend on your location, experience, and skills. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and competitive benefits.
