Job description

Idealease Rental Sales Manager
Entry-Level | Launch Your Sales Career in the Nashville Market
Cumberland Idealease is looking for a motivated, entry-level professional ready to start a career in sales. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to learn the business, build real sales skills, and grow within a stable, respected company.
While the position carries the title Rental Manager, the focus of the role is business development and account growth, not managing staff - making it a strong launching point for someone building a sales career from the ground up.
You'll be trained to grow rental utilization, build customer relationships, and represent Cumberland Idealease in the marketplace, with support from experienced leaders every step of the way.
What You'll Learn & Do
Business Development - Learn how to identify and pursue new rental opportunities across the Nashville market, and build relationships with contractors, transportation companies, and businesses that depend on reliable equipment.
Account Growth - Develop the skills to strengthen relationships with existing customers while uncovering additional opportunities to support their operations.
Revenue Ownership - Build the discipline to manage a sales pipeline, follow through on opportunities, and convert activity into business - a foundational skill for any sales career.
Customer Engagement - Become a trusted resource for customers needing short-term equipment solutions by learning their operations and matching them with the right equipment.
Market Presence - Get hands-on experience representing Cumberland Idealease in the field, staying connected to customers, job sites, and business decision makers.
Operational Alignment - Work closely with internal service and support teams to understand the full business and deliver a seamless customer experience.
What Matters Most
No rental or truck industry experience required. No prior sales experience required.
We're looking for someone early in their career who brings:
  • A genuine interest in building a career in sales
  • Confidence (or a willingness to build it) starting conversations with new people
  • A coachable, eager-to-learn attitude
  • A proactive mindset and strong work ethic
  • Personal accountability for results
  • The drive to grow in a fast-moving, performance-focused environment
Growth & Development
This role is designed as a starting point, not a ceiling. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced sales and operations leaders, with a clear path to grow your responsibilities, income, and career within Cumberland Idealease as you prove yourself.
What We Offer
  • Paid training and mentorship to set you up for success
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives
  • Significant long-term growth opportunity within Cumberland Idealease
  • A professional, team-oriented environment grounded in strong values
Benefits
  • 8 Paid Holidays, PTO, Vacation & Paid Birthday Off
  • Medical, Dental & Vision
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability (voluntary), Life & AD&D
  • Development program
  • Access to Teladoc 24/7/365
  • Free, confidential Employee Assistance Program
  • Positive environment with work-life balance
