Location: Waterloo, IA Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly Description:
Industrial Engineer
Location: Waterloo, IA
Duration: 24 months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support manufacturing and distribution operations, focusing on quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses for incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan).
  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, tool design, and processes.
  • Participate in total preventative maintenance and facilities management activities.
  • Document processes and procedures with technical writing, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide shop floor support and problem-solving, spending approximately 60% of time on feet and lifting up to 10 lbs as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and other relevant software to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Work flexible hours to support manufacturing operations as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (ideal); open to entry level candidates with relevant internships or academic experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing and distribution processes, quality, tooling, and facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and communication.
  • Proven track record in shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement.
