  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the most current specications, process control, and materialproduction troubleshooting.

  • Possessin-depthknowledgeofConcreteRedi-mixplants,Concretepavingoperations,aggregatecrush/washprocesses,andtheir impact on test results.

  • UnderstandthesciencebehindConcrete production,aggregates,andapplicablecalculations.

  • Guaranteethatalllaboratoriesandequipmentarecalibrated,checked,andstandardizedperAASHTOR18,the Quality Management SystemandQC Technician Manual.

  • Continuallyeducateoneselftobeacomplianceexpertandtakeaccountabilityforcompliancewiththelatest specications,regulations,governingstandardsandprocedures,andproductionandinstallationprocesscontrol.

Qualifications:

  • CompletionofaHighSchoolDiplomaorequivalent(e.g.,GED).

    Aminimumof3yearsofhands-onexperienceintestingconcrete,roadmaterialsandconstruction.

  • Knowledgeoftheprinciples,practices,specications,andproceduresoftheconcreteconstructionindustry

  • PossessorcanobtaincurrentWisDOTPCC I, II and/or PCC MDCorACAMDOT(MI)certication.

  • Demonstratedsatisfactoryperformanceindirectingconstruction concretetesting.

  • Demonstrateddecision-makingandproblem-solvingskills.

  • Capacitytomanagemultiplecomplextasksconcurrently.
