Job description

Electrical Engineer / Project Engineer – Generator Systems

We are seeking talented Electrical Engineers / Project Engineers to support the design and development of custom generator set enclosures and power systems. This evergreen requisition provides ongoing openings across the engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design and integration of generator systems, including Genset controls, ATS systems, and harnessing.
  • Design and integrate custom enclosure systems (skin‑tight and walk‑in).
  • Develop and maintain detailed engineering packages: schematics, layouts, component selection, and specifications.
  • Conduct design solutions with focus on manufacturability, performance and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate and integrate third‑party electrical systems through design, build, and commissioning.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple custom engineering projects to meet delivery timelines.
  • Provide technical direction and support across cross‑functional teams.
  • Estimate engineering effort, timelines, and product costs for custom solutions.
  • Identify risks, evaluate trade‑offs, and apply sound engineering and business judgment.
  • Partner with sales, applications, national account, mechanical engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and field service teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance engineering efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET‑accredited program.
  • 2+ years of electrical engineering experience (internships included), preferably in power systems, industrial or product development environments.
  • Experience supporting or managing electrical design projects.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment

Work Mode: Onsite, Monday‑Friday
Location: Sheboygan, WI
Travel: Limited, as required

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $76,050 – $105,200 per year.
