The role - what you'll do
Barr is seeking a mechanical CADD technician to join our design team. In this hybrid role, you will support the mechanical group on mechanical engineering projects involving data collection, planning, problem-solving, design, and construction assistance. The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary project teams to provide computer-aided drafting using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and other drafting software on a Windows platform. This person is also relationship-focused, as the role involves serving both internal and external clients.

Helpful additional experience (not required):
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to the job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their applications in an industrial environment.
