Position Summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a motivated and detailoriented Financial Analyst to join our Strategy organization. This entrylevel role supports enterprisewide financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting activities for consolidated FirstEnergy. The analyst will collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to coordinate financial results, support strategic decisionmaking, and track performance against financial goals.

This position is ideal for candidates eager to develop strong financial analysis skills, gain exposure to enterpriselevel strategy, and contribute to a collaborative, resultsdriven team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and adhoc financial analysis
  • Support the development and maintenance of forecast models and management reports to inform strategic business decisions
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from multiple sources, presenting findings in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Coordinate periodic actual results and forecast reporting, including preparation of financial management schedules
  • Develop an understanding of FirstEnergy's financial performance, strategic objectives, and operating environment
  • Support target setting, peer benchmarking, tracking, and analysis of key financial performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Deliver timely and accurate analysis and reporting, providing excellent internal customer service
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analysis, or work processes and contribute ideas for increased efficiency
  • Build effective working relationships with team members and business partners at multiple levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a questioning mindset while maintaining alignment with team goals and overall business success

Career Progression

Analysts hired at higher analyst levels (Analyst IV or V) will be expected to perform these responsibilities with increased independence and proficiency and may assume expanded scope, complexity, and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
