The Entry Level - Commercial Lending Assistant provides administrative support to the Business and Commercial Accounts team with loan origination and servicing responsibilities. The role also assists with questions pertaining to loan applications for new, extension, renewal and replacement for all business/commercial related lending products, including real estate, vehicles, and unsecured loans. The Commercial Lending Assistant responds to Member, Team Member, and vendor inquiries, collecting collateral documents.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
2. Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
3. Work cooperatively with others as part of a formal or informal team to accomplish department and Credit Union goals.
4. Provides excellent service by using a positive and professional tone to assist callers and team members accurately, thoroughly, and as efficiently as possible while maintaining consistent and friendly service.
5. Uses organizational tools and techniques to complete tasks on time and successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
6. Fosters a partnering environment with an open communication forum within the department and throughout the organization.
7. Satisfies and promotes team goals and maintains a positive working environment with all Arrowhead Credit Union (ACU) team members.
8. Assists members and business representatives with loan inquires, ensuring exceptional service experiences.
9. Serve as a support for Commercial Lending department team members, offering assistance to ensure operational efficiency and collaboration.
10. Independently completes administrative responsibilities as required, including, but not limited to:
a. Clerical duties such as answering phone calls, receiving messages by directing calls to the appropriate Team Member.
b. Receives, logs, and disburses correspondence and or inquires received.
c. Accurately performing data entry and reviewing for accuracy.
d. Gathering and ordering reports (credit reports, appraisal, environmental, Dunn & Bradstreet (D&B),
e. Completing required due diligence for property profiles, property tax, Environmental Data Resources (EDR), county reports and/or research, Zillow or other real estate evaluation sites,
f. Completing Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), CoStar and other reports deemed appropriate.
11. Serve as the contact for members, collecting required information, and completing necessary documents throughout the loan process, including coordination with title/escrow on loan closing.
12. Accurately creates collateral and credit files.
13. Consistently maintains, and files loan documents for Commercial Lending Team Members.
14. Complete daily department operations as required, including scheduling appointments, creating loan files, scanning documents, relocating files and composing correspondence for team members and members).
15. Recognize opportunities for efficiencies based on daily assigned tasks, and communicating solutions with department leadership.
16. Compiles loan data, and prepares reports and logs, monthly/weekly and quarterly reports as required by Commercial Lending department leaders.
17. Manages all assigned credit files and updates the required check lists and logs.
18. Independently confirm auto pay set up, pay down transactions, account openings, open and sorting mail and pay off requests with appropriate ACU departments.
19. Communicates with member, members’ agent, or vendor regarding tax delinquencies, loan maturities, past due payments and insurance
20. Exemplifies the attitude, aptitude, and ability to learn quickly and efficiently while showing assertiveness in personal development.
21. Independently takes responsibility for learning and development by acquiring and refining of technical and professional skills needed in job-related areas.
22. Provides feedback on department policies and processes to improve efficiency and service outcomes.
23. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
24. Maintains a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), and complies with all laws/regulations applicable to area(s) of responsibility. Completes all required and assigned training modules by established due dates.
25. Maintains working knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
26. Completes all other duties as assigned by supervisor/leadership as necessary to achieve the goals of the Credit Union and the department.

Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity.
