As an entry-level network technician, your job is to troubleshoot problems with network systems and assist customers who want to install a new system or get updates for an existing system. Network technicians often install both hardware and software for networks and may occasionally train users, write programming scripts, or use various tools and devices to monitor existing networks. Some network technicians work remotely and guide customers by phone, while others travel to visit customers and work on-site. As an entry-level worker, you may work under a senior network technician to learn more about your job and how to resolve the problems that customers bring to you.
