Job Title: Network Systems Administrator Job Purpose:

The Network systems administrator defines, designs and implements network communications and solutions. Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Manages the load configuration of a central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinates terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requirement. Negotiates and places orders with common carriers.

Nature of Duties:
  • -Defines, designs and implements network communications and solutions.
  • -Proposes and implements approved system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve system performance and reliability at the plant level.
  • -Primary point of contact for IT related audits.
  • -Coordinates cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing.
  • -Provides support for corporate IT initiatives at the local level.
  • The Network Administrator is responsible for:
  • -Daily Server Backups, User Support, Server Maintenance, Patch Maintenance, Software and Hardware Distribution, Daily Inventory Tracking and other duties as assigned.
  • -Maintains the software and hardware inventory.
  • -Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and security are functional on a daily basis and that related procedures adhere to the needs of the organization.
  • -Providing support to all staff for IT related issues. This role will provide technical assistance to staff in the resolution of computer-related problems beyond the knowledge or complexity of technical support staff.
Education and Experience:
  • The ability to participate in a 24x7 on call rotation.
  • G Suite/Gmail familiarity.
  • 2 to 3 years experience in a Windows/ChromeOS environment.
  • Experience with
    • MS Office products
    • AD Users and Computers Account Administration
    • MS Security Administration
    • Knowledge of networking (Cabling, switches)
    • Microsoft Anti-Virus software.
    • Disk-imaging products.
    • Basic Knowledge of VM environments.
    • Server Operating Systems (Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2019, 2022)
  • Certificate/diploma from college or technical school, or a minimum two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
