Sales Lending Associates promote our products and provide short-term loans to customers in exchange for valuable items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. In this role, pawnbrokers estimate an item’s value based on retail prices or market values of precious metals or stones, offering customers cash while holding the items as collateral.

This position requires excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to successfully evaluate items and estimate resale value. Sales Lending Associates also need to keep up to date and informed about laws regarding the pawn industry, following protocol in maintaining detailed records of items and transactions, and provide assistance to law enforcement regarding items reported stolen.

What You'll Do as a Granters Pawn Sales Lending Associate

Evaluate Pawned and Pledged Items. One of your main duties is estimating the value of pawned or pledged items, which can include electronics and cameras, musical instruments, and collectible items such as gold and jewelry. This requires extensive familiarity with the market values of these items, along with the ability to quickly make judgments about an item’s condition and resale potential. Need training? No problem! Adhere to Laws and Regulations

Finally, you will help ensure that your follow and adhere to both state/federal laws and regulations related to the pawn industry as well as company policies and procedures. Because of the heavily cash-based nature our business, you will follow our record keeping policies pertaining to all transactions and closely follow state and federal regulations for lending and selling items.

  • Ability to travel between store locations-you must have reliable transportation

Duties of this job include

  • Prepare inventory for online catalog listings
  • Preparing paperwork and quotes for shipping
  • Processing orders, picking items and packing them for shipment
  • Communicating daily for order fulfillment needs
  • Receiving shipments and verifying received quantity against ordered quantity
  • Maintaining and filling online sales orders
  • Maintaining and organizing the warehouse and ordering shipping supplies
  • Answering shipping phone calls and replying to emails in a well-spoken/well written manner

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry items up to 40 lbs
  • Energetic and able to work quickly and precisely under pressure

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of International and domestic shipping procedures
  • Fluency in UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL and USPS Click-N-Ship
  • Preparation of Commercial invoices, Certificates of Origin, and Bills of Lading
  • Experience in online ordering and sales transactions
  • Basic electrical and mechanical experience is a plus
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Spanish a huge plus!
  • Purchasing experience also a huge plus!
