Job description

This role will work closely with a Paralegal and Legal Assistant on work pertaining to the litigation of a case. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.

Pays 21.00 p/h

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with scheduling of depositions, doctor conferences, private mediations, and any other requested event.
  • Coordinate the rescheduling of auto-set Court conferences to avoid time conflicts for each attorney.
  • Work closely with each attorney's team to make sure that litigation events are coordinated on a timely basis and documented in each attorney's calendar/file
  • Prepare formal Notices for events
  • Review each attorney's Court docket to make sure that events are confirmed and on each attorney's calendar on a timely basis.  
  • Confirm scheduled events with clients.
  • Send letters to clients in a timely manner to ensure they are aware of upcoming events.
  • Help with overflow if needed.
  • Enter new roles in the system
  • Upload necessary documents to the client's file
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; college preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Used to adapting in an ever-changing environment and handling multiple priorities
  • Excellent oral communication with an outgoing personality
  • Able to multitask and learn quickly
  • Must thrive in a team environment
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Excellent comprehension and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to type at least 35 WPM with excellent writing skills while navigating through multiple software applications
  • Organized
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Prior business/medical scheduling experience is preferred but not a prerequisite.  

This role is on-site, which gives you the chance to be fully immersed in the work and gain direct experience alongside the team.
