Ohms Electrical

We are looking to hire an experienced electrical estimator to determine the cost of various electrical installations for commercial, industrial and residential projects. The eletrical estimator's responsibilities include determining how long each contracting job will last, researching market prices for project materials and equipment and communicating with clients ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs. Also needs to be able to go to the meetings and work with McCormick Estimating Program. Needs to be sucessful as an electrical estimatror, detail-oriented and have sound knowledge of the electrical codes. Ultimately, an exceptional Electrical Estimator should be adept at reading building plans and demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilites Include:

Anayzing blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes. Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project. Determining the amout of labor required to complete each project. Determining the potential profitablilty of electrical projets to assist management in making sound bidding decisions. Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability. Attend meeting for the bids and any other meetings directed by the owner or VP of Operations. Be able to estimate with McCormick Systems. Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines. Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs. Evaluating labor and material costs to determine wheter it is more feasible to construct electrical components or sub-contract the construction of components.

Requirements Include:

Completion of a postsecondary education for electrician training program. The ability to interpret blueprints. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Detail-oriented.
