About Tew & Taylor
Tew & Taylor is a private provider that has served general contractors, developers, architects, and municipal building departments since 2008. Our core services are building code inspections, plan review, and permitting. We have offices in Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
The Role
This is an entry-level position designed for someone looking to launch a career in B2B and B2G construction services sales. You will have a primary focus on building our pipeline: identifying new prospects, running cold outreach campaigns, and keeping the entire sales operation organized and on track. This is a role for someone who is energized by starting conversations with people who have never heard of us and turning them into qualified opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • New Customer Acquisition: Build and prioritize prospect lists of contractors, developers, and architects across our markets, then research each target to understand their project volume and needs before outreach.
  • Cold Outreach: Execute consistent, high-volume outreach by email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person. Draft and refine messaging, run structured follow-up sequences, and book introductory calls and meetings for the Vice President of Sales.
  • Pipeline Organization: Own the cleanliness and accuracy of our sales database. Log every touchpoint, track each prospect's stage, and make sure no lead goes cold because of a missed follow-up.
  • Sales Operations: Assist in creating proposals and contracts using the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Communication Bridge: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners, ensuring timely, professional follow-ups.
  • Special Projects: Support the broader sales team with event coordination, market research, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred (open to all majors; Business, Engineering, or Construction is a plus).
  • Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to initiate cold conversations and handle objections. Strong organizational habits and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Mindset: A self-starter with a "no task too small" attitude, the persistence to keep working a pipeline through rejection, and the discipline to stay organized while managing many prospects at once. Able to remain calm under pressure and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Local Presence: This is a 100% in-person role at our office; candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive Salary: $70,000 starting base.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Growth: Direct mentorship from executive leadership and a clear path for advancement within the sales organization.
