Job description

GetixHealth is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Technical Analyst I to support our IT operations, asset management, equipment deployment, and technical support functions. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on computer hardware knowledge who enjoys troubleshooting, staying organized, and providing excellent customer service. 

The Technical Analyst I will help manage corporate IT equipment throughout its lifecycle, prepare and ship equipment to employees and locations, and provide first-level technical support for hardware, Windows, network connectivity, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for corporate IT hardware and technology assets
  • Receive, inspect, label, barcode, and document new IT equipment
  • Track equipment assignments, users, locations, status, warranties, and asset lifecycle
  • Prepare laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals for deployment
  • Process equipment returns, repairs, replacements, redeployments, and retirements
  • Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate asset information within IT asset management and CMDB systems
  • Package and ship computers, peripherals, networking equipment, and other IT assets
  • Generate shipping labels, documentation, and tracking information
  • Investigate delayed, damaged, or missing equipment shipments
  • Assist with large-scale equipment deployments and office moves
  • Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other peripherals
  • Perform basic wired and wireless network connectivity troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot common Wi-Fi, VPN, and IP configuration issues
  • Provide first-level support for Microsoft 365 and common corporate applications
  • Perform basic Windows troubleshooting, software installation, updates, and workstation configuration
  • Follow established procedures for workstation imaging, provisioning, and deployment
  • Respond to assigned IT service requests and incidents
  • Document troubleshooting activities and resolutions within the IT service management system
  • Recognize and escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT, infrastructure, network, security, or application support teams
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education or IT certification preferred
  • Entry-level experience in IT support, asset management, technology operations, service desk, or a related environment
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Ethernet
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows computers and common business applications
  • Comfortable working with inventory and IT asset management systems
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple requests
  • Ability to safely lift and move typical IT equipment, up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel to corporate offices as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent technical training
  • Pursuit of a college degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.5+ is a plus
  • Experience with an ITSM platform such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
  • Experience with an IT asset management or CMDB platform
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or similar endpoint management tools
  • Experience preparing and deploying Windows laptops
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID
  • Experience with corporate shipping and logistics processes
  • Experience supporting employees or offices across multiple locations
