Job description

Description

Booth and Associates is seeking a Power Platform Developer who will work directly alongside two developers to design, build, and deploy applications that support our engineering and operational needs. You will be a primary builder of solutions while ensuring the team follows best practices, uses reusable components, and delivers scalable tools across the Microsoft Power Platform.

We are looking to fill this position in either the Baton Rouge, Charlotte, Summerville, or Texas offices.

This position will be in-office.

Requirements

  • Hands-on Development: Actively build Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, and Power Pages, alongside complex Power Automate flows and Dataverse solutions.
  • Technical Mentorship: Work closely with two developers to provide "in-the-code" support, troubleshooting, and collaborative solution design.
  • Solution Architecture: Design data models and app structures to ensure they are practical, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Requirements Translation: Partner with business users to turn functional needs into technical reality, often prototyping solutions yourself.
  • Data & Automation: Build and maintain Dataflows (Power Query) and Power Automate integrations to streamline data movement and business processes.
  • Standardization: Create and maintain a library of reusable components and templates that you and the team will use to speed up development.
  • Safety Values: Support and contribute to a company-wide safety culture by following established safety standards, policies, and best practices, helping to ensure a safe environment for employees, clients, and the public.
  • The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of personnel so classified.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: An Associate's degree or higher from a university or technical college. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building in the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep, "builder-level" expertise in Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
  • Data Design: Strong understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and relational data modeling.
  • Governance & ALM: Practical experience with DLP policies, connector governance, and Power Platform deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A desire to work as part of a team, helping others solve technical hurdles while managing your own development tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Engineering or Utility industries.
  • Familiarity with SQL, SSMS, and the Power Platform Admin Center.
  • Experience establishing development standards or shared UI/UX libraries.
