Entry Level Microsoft Cyber Security Jobs in Florida

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Primarily Onsite

Our client is seeking an IT Technician to support day-to-day IT operations, cybersecurity initiatives, and a growing Microsoft cloud environment supporting Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ranging from an entry-level technician with a strong desire to learn to an experienced IT professional with a cybersecurity background.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and contributing to a highly secure IT environment.

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
• Support Microsoft cloud technologies and user administration
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives and compliance efforts
• Help maintain and support CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements across the organization
• Support a secure environment for DoD-related projects and contracts
• Document IT issues, resolutions, and system changes
• Partner with internal team members to improve IT processes and security practices
• Assist with network administration and general infrastructure support

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
• Ability to work onsite in Lakeland, FL
• Strong willingness to learn and grow within an IT career

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
• General networking knowledge
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Tenant Administration, or cloud technologies
• Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, Network+, or similar
• Exposure to CMMC, NIST, DoD environments, or compliance-driven organizations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

• Primarily onsite in Lakeland, FL
• Entry-level hires will work closely with the IT team in a collaborative environment
• More experienced professionals may have flexibility based on qualifications and business needs

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
