Job description

Position: MES Engineer II , Req#: 17944-1
Location: Draper, UT (100% Onsite)
Duration: 9+ Months Contract with high possibility of extension

Job Description:

Engineering position supporting the Draper site's digital functionality with primary focus on the Manufacturing Execution System or MES. This individual will support the day-to-day operations of all commercial lines within the site, new product rollouts, and enhancements or improvements to the existing models. As the site continues its journey into digital transformation, other initiatives beyond MES could materialize in the future. As this role supports commercial production on a site with 2 shift operations, it is expected to be on-site during your shift but also on call during the 2nd shift timeframe. The role has some inherent flexibility due to the nature of the job being heavily computer based.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 2-4 years of experience required.
  • MES: Camstar/Siemens Opcenter Execution

Skills:

  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on importance (production> new product rollout> enhancement)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Nice to have - previous experience with a Manufacturing Execution System

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support commercial production with ongoing MES modeling support
  • Creation, testing, implementing, and releasing MES models for both commercial and new products
  • Supporting engineering work orders as they flow through the MES system
  • Support system enhancement activities from the MES modeling standpoint
