Job description

The Role:

Minted is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and collaborative Merchandising Assistant to join our growing Wholesale team. Reporting directly to the Senior Merchandising Manager, this individual will play an indispensable, foundational role in executing our product strategy.

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone eager to explore the world of major retail, wholesale operations, and product development. As the owner of the end-to-end sample lifecycle and technical product setup, you will be the engine that allows our unique, crowd-curated assortments to successfully come to life on the shelves of major retail partners like Target, Amazon, Whole Foods, and more.

This role is based in our San Francisco, CA office.

You will:
  • Manage the Sample Lifecycle: Oversee physical and digital samples for Merchandising and Business Development needs. Coordinate the requesting, tracking, receiving, setup, and archiving of samples for internal reviews and major retail presentations

  • Support Wholesale Channel Initiatives: Collaborate with the Business Development and Merchandising teams to assist with seasonal project preparation across key wholesale programs
  • Ensure Product & Data Accuracy: Cross-reference product data sheets against physical samples to ensure accuracy before items are approved for production or shipped to partners
You are:
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: You catch the small things that others miss. You enjoy creating order out of chaos, whether that means keeping physical sample spaces tidy or ensuring digital tracking sheets match reality perfectly
  • Proactive & Results-Oriented: A self-starter who can prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality results and meet changing deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Rapid Learner: You absorb new concepts, systems, and processes quickly. You thrive when thrown into new situations and can get up to speed with minimal hand-holding
  • A Resourceful Problem-Solver: You possess a strong "figure-it-out" mentality. You aren't afraid to dig around to find missing answers and are excited to help establish clear, organized processes
  • Collaborative & Eager to Learn: Enthusiastic about working in a team environment, eager to learn from senior merchants, and comfortable asking questions
  • Passionate About Design: Personally inspired by art, design, and Minted's unique crowd-curation marketplace model
You have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent foundational experience in merchandising, wholesale operations, retail buying, or project coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets: Comfortable managing large datasets, using sorting/filtering, and navigating sheets to maintain data integrity
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Exceptional follow-up, time management, and a natural knack for keeping track of physical inventory or sample pipelines
