Description
The Data Analyst supports GBS consultants and brokers in delivering timely, accurate analytics and decision support information to Pharmacy clients in a dynamic environment. This position is strategic and technical and vital to the success and focus of our mission to deliver unparalleled advice and service to our clients. The successful candidate will work well in a team-based, service-minded environment. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be driven to succeed. Actively assists brokers and consultants. Exhibits a high level of maturity and professionalism in all business interactions.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Manages data, prepares and peers reviews reports, performs ad-hoc analysis, and provides assistance with rate decisions
• Participates in self-funded and fully insured quoting processes for employers of various sizes and industries
• Work closely with carrier partners to gather employer benefit options and pricing
• Gathers benefit options from carriers to prepare illustrations and provide comparisons for various product lines such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability coverages
• Understands and utilizes company specific software systems
• Possesses/acquires knowledge of the local healthcare marketplace, carriers, TPAs, PBMs.
• Assists with team projects and initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a data-related field - such as actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or computer science.
• Strong ability to leverage industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical data skills to analyze data and respond to client questions
• Experience with a PC and proficiency in MS Excel is required
• Expert ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with decision makers within the company, external clients, and peers
• Strong relationship building skills, including the capacity to leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization
• Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and expectations
• Expert ability to work in a team setting and learn new skills quickly
• Experience developing creative solutions in response to changing healthcare landscape
Proficient in prioritizing and handling multiple tasks throughout the day

This position enjoys the benefit of working in a newly constructed and beautiful open-concept office building. Our facility is state of the art with common areas, stand-up workstations, beautiful views, an amazing lunchroom and wonderful amenities. Employees are provided with modern ergonomically proven workspaces. Daily work includes computer interfacing, data entry, communications (electronic and physical), movement throughout the office, attending meetings, etc.
