Job Summary

Teledyne FLIR is looking for a hands‑on mechanical engineer to work in the Surveillance Systems Division in Wilsonville, OR. This position involves collaborating with a diversified team across multiple locations on high‑performance imaging and laser systems, requiring hands‑on technical expertise in design, analysis, and testing of precision mechanical assemblies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and test complex mechanical assemblies, preferably mechanisms and optical systems.
  • Apply geometric tolerancing per ANSI/ASME Y14.5M.
  • Develop mechanical specifications and planning related to mechanical system design and testing.
  • Communicate effectively among cross‑disciplinary teams located in multiple sites.
Job Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years’ experience with design, test, and/or analysis of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with opto‑mechanical assemblies preferred.
  • Proficiency in solid modeling CAD, e.g., SolidWorks; EPDM a plus.
  • Ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field and good knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a multi‑disciplinary team in a fast‑paced, technically challenging environment.
