This position will support the engineering drawing and drafting team responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling the technical configuration baseline for one of the Department of Defense's most advanced radar systems.
The selected candidate will develop and maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, and product configuration data supporting the complete system lifecycle. This role works closely with mechanical, electrical, systems, manufacturing, integration, logistics, and configuration management teams to ensure engineering products accurately reflect the evolving radar system design.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in maintaining complex engineering documentation while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, models, specifications, and as-built documentation supporting the DARC2 radar system.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software.
  • Verify completed drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensional integrity, engineering standards, and ASME compliance.
  • Review engineering documentation to identify design discrepancies, omissions, or conflicts and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of the program's engineering configuration baseline throughout the system lifecycle.
