We are hiring Field Technicians to perform on-site acquisition, installation, service, and support of dental digital equipment in dental and specialty practices nationwide. We are open to candidates at different experience levels: experienced technicians may qualify for higher compensation based on manufacturer certifications, installation background, and service expertise, while entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, IT curiosity, professionalism, and willingness to travel may be considered for a starter-level role with training and advancement opportunities. Depending on your experience level, you may lead assigned work independently or complete work under the guidance of a senior technician while building the skills required for manufacturer certification, safe installation practices, and excellent customer outcomes. The Field Technician requires a high aptitude for learning, practical problem solving and someone who is adaptable, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable learning new technology. Success in this role requires professionalism in customer environments, the ability to follow process and documentation requirements, and the curiosity to troubleshoot equipment, computers, software, and connectivity issues. Candidates do not need to be expert network technicians on day one, but they must be willing to learn, ask good questions, use available resources, and continually expand their skill set.

What You'll Do
  • Install, Remove and/or certify new and certified pre-owned panoramic X-ray and cone beam equipment and related computers.
  • Conduct calibration and performance testing to validate quality of installations.
  • Install and service dental surgical microscopes.
  • Present training to small groups of staff on basic equipment, hardware operations and software.
  • As your knowledge permits, support the growth of knowledge of our Trusted Dental Technicians through co-travel certifications and manage 3rd party helpers by assigning and monitoring tasks.
  • Conduct performance tests on purchased equipment to ensure proper quality and condition.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly.
  • Have a "handyman acumen" - it is necessary to have the mechanical understanding of construction methods to facilitate the installation of capital equipment, electrical connections, low-voltage connection, and be at ease with using power and hand tools.

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or industry specific dental experience in digital CBCT desired.
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, and general networking.
  • A "handyman acumen" and be at ease with using power and hand tools.
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, calm, and professional on phone and email.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new products, systems, and technologies.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to helping others succeed.

Bonus Points For
  • Experience installing medical or dental equipment and imaging systems.
  • Graduate of electronics/technology program, MCSE or equivalent.
  • Proven component level troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical understanding of construction methods to facilitate the installation of capital equipment, electrical connections, low-voltage connections, etc.
  • Previous experience in the dental, surgical, or medical device industry.
  • Understanding of residential and commercial building/construction methods a plus
  • Military technical training, veteran status, or prior military experience in electronics, communications, biomedical equipment, aviation, maintenance, engineering, or other technical fields is highly valued and may be considered relevant experience.

Requirements
  • Available to travel primarily for regional based travel. Occasional weekend or holiday travel may be requested.
  • Proximity of no more than one hour from a major airport.
  • Travel may require travel with tools and/or parts for installation or service.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain a passport if travel outside the US is necessary (rare).
