" Job Position- New Hire/Operator in Training. (Dept to be determined)

  Come be Part of a Leading Manufacturing Company with a Team Environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures while proactively seeking out potential safety hazards.
  • Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals.
  • Organize final products for shipping and distribution.
  • Complete general housekeeping duties to maintain a continuously safe and clean teamwork environment.
  • Following Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs)
  • Reporting any safety or maintenance concerns
  • Learn and develop machine operator skills.
  • Attending and participating in Plant safety meetings.
  • Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO PASS ENTRY LEVEL MATH, READING, & MECHANICAL APTITUDE TEST, PASS DRUG SCREEN, HEALTH ASSESSMENT, & BACKGROUND CHECK.

WORKS ROTATING SHIFTS, WEEKENDS, & OT. Standard workday is 8 hours with two 15 minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.  Employee is required to work a 12 hour shift if scheduled with an additional 15-minute break.

EDUCATION:   High school diploma or GED Preferred,

EXPERIENCE: 1 year in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment Preferred.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. 

The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to climb and/or balance on equipment and across conveyor equipment using platforms three to four inches in width.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:   Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to communicate effectively.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.   The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
