Job description

Position Overview

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Maritime Outboard Motor Mechanic in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Service and repair craft and trailers, including light surface craft, Jet Skis, and various models of inboard and outboard motors
  • Provide on-the-job training instruction to entry-level mechanics unfamiliar withvarious typesof propulsion and ancillary equipment

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • U.S. citizen
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Secret security clearance
  • Three years’ experience as anOriginal Equipment Manufacturer-certified mechanic with either Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki,orYamaha commercial small outboard engines and ancillary equipment
  • Experience with troubleshooting and minor repairs ofoutboardandinboard marine diesel enginesmanufactured by Caterpillar and Cummings, as well as Hamilton andKamewawaterjets
