Job description

Kauai Mechanical is looking for motivated individuals ready to learn a skilled trade from the ground up. As an Entry Level HVAC Tech, you’ll be trained on the job by experienced technicians who will teach you basic maintenance in the field. If you’re dependable, willing to work hard, and ready to start building your future, this is your chance to step into a stable, rewarding career, no prior HVAC experience required.

Job Functions

  • The ability to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration Systems. Includes changing or washing filters, flushing/cleaning drain lines, inspection of belts, pumps, motors, compressors, electrical/control panels, washing evaporator and condenser coils, and cleaning indoor units and grilles.
  • Ability to identify potential equipment issues, reporting issues to customers and department manager.
  • Ability to talk confidently with the customer, acting as a liaison between the customer and office.
  • Support Service Technicians with minor repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Perform work with a focus on Safety and Quality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized job site. Must leave customer jobsite cleaner than it was at arrival.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work vehicle.
  • Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance.
  • Any additional duties/responsibilities deemed necessary.
