Job description

We are hiring a dependable Groundskeeper (Porter) to help keep our resort-style community clubhouse clean, safe, and welcoming. If you enjoy working with your hands, staying active, and being part of a friendly team, this job is a great fit.
The groundskeeper (porter) is an entry-level position that supports the general maintenance, janitorial, and basic upkeep of the resort facility. This position reports to the Facilities Manager. This position maintains the clean and neat appearance of assigned areas, focusing on both interior and exterior of the property and its grounds. Additionally, set up and breakdown of various events, as required.
Job Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain common areas: hallways, bathrooms, locker rooms, gym, and patios
  • Sweep, dust and mop floors, clean windows
  • Assist with daily pool area cleaning (vacuuming, skimming, wiping chairs/tables, removing debris)
  • Empty trash and keep indoor/outdoor areas neat and presentable
  • Help set up and break down rooms for events, classes, holiday decorations, and resident activities
  • Perform simple tasks like replacing light bulbs and reporting maintenance issues
  • Keep supply rooms and carts organized
  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards

What We're Looking For
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to lift 20-30 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
  • Experience in janitorial, groundskeeping, housekeeping, or porter work is helpful but not required
  • Good attitude and strong customer service toward residents and guests
