Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiographer, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized imaging techniques for precise patient diagnosis and treatment.
Every day, you'll meticulously perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning. You'll operate advanced equipment with precision, maintain image quality, and adhere to radiation safety, collaborating to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
To be successful in this role, you must combine strong technical expertise with meticulous attention to detail, excellent patient communication, and a compassionate approach, directly contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.

  • Is competent and proficient in the operation of complex radiographic equipment, both mobile and stationary, across diverse patient care settings to obtain standard diagnostic radiographs.
  • Is competent and proficient in the operation of complex imaging equipment in various patient care settings for purposes of obtaining standard diagnostic images in at least two additional modalities: CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiography, or Mammography.
  • Maintains minimum state and national licensing requirements including regular continuing education. Maintains clinical competency while performing assigned duties.
  • Adheres to department radiation and safety protocols including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). Uses proper pediatric dose reduction by following appropriate best practices in imaging. Verifies patient identification, order accuracy, and correct contrast media dosage prior to initiating imaging procedure. Collaborates with the radiologist or ordering physician for purposes of clarifying imaging orders, discussing cases, and ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Accurately documents clinical activities including patient interactions, DICOM images, identification markers, and forms ensuring details such as correct patient, correct time, correct location, and correct billing for performed procedures are correct.
  • Applies knowledge of proper medical imaging infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance.
