Job Summary
Machine Operator:
Entry-level position in the manufacturing assembly area that requires assembler tasks and set up of and operation of automatic and semi-automatic machines including, but not limited to, hank taping, roving, and polar cutting. Job rotates with the general assembly operations as required. Work with machine operators, pack finished goods and hand assemble chaff products. Must be able to do simple math calculations and read and write. Observes safety procedures. Maintain clean and safe work area.
Primary Responsibilities
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds repetitively, must be able to operate
Semi-automatic hank taping machine and automatic roving machines.
• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours, must be able to bend, stoop, reach; repetitively lift up to 25 lbs., push and pull 500-700lb. wheeled hank carts, and sit.
• Exposed to noise and dust.
• Will maintain all equipment within safety operating parameters.
• Will maintain accurate logs and TPM charts.
• Must be able to start up and shutdown equipment.
• Must be flexible to production, maintenance, and equipment needs
• Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
• Understand and live by Armtec's ethics and business conduct policies.
Qualifications
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination is required.
• The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language is required.
• Applicants must have the ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Must perform SPC applications.
• Must be authorized to work in U.S.
• To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.
Education/Previous Experience Requirement
