TITLE: SAW OPERATOR

REPORTS TO: Area Coordinator

SUPERVISES: N/A

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Effectively promotes teamwork in department. Coordinates with production management in regard to daily production goals, efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and training of co-workers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND DAILY TASKS

  • Operates, sets up, performs maintenance of saw assigned to.
  • Inspects finished products for quality.
  • Production reporting is clean accurate and legible.
  • Understands and observes all safety policies and procedures.
  • Interprets job orders assigned.
  • Operates equipment related to these activities and trains workers in equipment operation.
  • Reports work progress to the Production Management.
  • Coordinates with general laborers.
  • Performs other duties as required by management.

COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced knowledge of the operation of all machinery and equipment used within primary job duty.
  • Maintains certification to operate equipment if so required.
  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities.
