Our commercial lighting distribution company is seeking an Entry-Level Lighting Solutions Coordinator to join our team in Worcester, MA.

As a Lighting Solutions Coordinator you will be instrumental in enabling our sales efforts in coordination with Marketing and Sales leaders.  In this role you would expect to:

·        Support all activities to maintain a robust sales pipeline

·        Conduct outreach to prospective and existing customers

·        Document relevant information based on customer contact

·        Sustain customer engagement and deliver industry-leading customer experiences

·        Pursue and secure meetings with targeted customers for our Commercial Lighting Team

·        Conduct ongoing follow up with customers as needed to facilitate the customer journey

You will gain exposure to the overall business beyond sales, providing you with a holistic understanding of how a successful sales and distribution business operates.


What You’ll Do

As a Lighting Solutions Coordinator, your primary responsibilities would include:

  • Prospecting: Following up on web-generated inquiries and orders to identify key decision-makers and schedule appointments for our Commercial Lighting Specialists.
  • Sales Support: Helping to deliver and implement AI-enabled processes and / or workflows which support the Sales process, improve responsiveness and enhance customer experience
  • CRM Data Maintenance: Maintaining account profiles and related contact information within our CRM system to facilitate effective customer outreach
  • Product Expertise: Developing a strong command of commercial lighting products, including LEDs, controls, and other energy-efficient solutions, as well as an understanding of competitors and applications. This knowledge will be crucial for identifying client needs and building lasting relationships.
  • Digital Pro: Utilizing technology such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Outlook, Excel, MS Word, AI applications, the Bulbs.com website, our back-office systems and relevant online industry tools.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: An Associate's Degree is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Sales experience is a plus, with phone sales experience being highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web applications.
    • Practical business math proficiency
    • A competitive spirit and a strong desire to succeed.
    • Familiarity with CRM, lighting, or technical knowledge is a plus, along with an aptitude for learning new technologies.


Your Career Path & Compensation

The average compensation for this role includes salary of $45,000-$55,000, and a bonus plan for re-engaged accounts that request a quote for a lighting project. This position offers a clear and exciting career trajectory. Individuals who master the Lighting Solutions Coordinator role typically transition into a commissioned Commercial Lighting Specialist (CLS) position within 12-24 months. The CLS role offers a higher base salary and uncapped commission potential, with a clear path to six-figure compensation within 2-3 years for successful candidates.
