Job Description:

Entry Level Lighting Controls Application Engineer I. You will gain exciting real-world experience and understanding of architectural and electrical drawing sets, Title 24 building code requirements, hands on design of lighting control systems using Visual Controls software, and the opportunity to work with our skilled team of engineers.

Duties & Responsibilities (I):

โ€ข Assist with contractor/distributor sales team and installer technical support.

โ€ข Create control layouts/designs.

โ€ข Create control submittals

. โ€ข Understand wiring diagrams, product details, and when to apply them.

โ€ข Create bills of material.

โ€ข Provide telephone support for technical inquiries, programming/installation questions, and troubleshooting assistance.

โ€ข Engage vendor technicians/engineers/contractors as required to complete work efficiently.

โ€ข Maintain current Title 24 code knowledge.

โ€ข Attendance at all department meetings, required product trainings, and 16500 meetings (virtual and/or in-person).

โ€ข Assist control team members on project overflow.

โ€ข Travel may be required and may include job site visits, trips with customers or other 16500 employees to manufacturer plants, tradeshows locally and possibly out of state.

Qualifications:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher preferred. Disciplines in Engineering, Science, Math, Technology or similar.

โ€ข Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe/BlueBeam, Microsoft Teams, Google Sheets/docs, aptitude for Quotation Platforms.

โ€ข AutoCAD knowledge preferred.

โ€ข Must be able to speak and write professionally. Communication skills with customers, design clients and co-workers are a necessity.

โ€ข Team oriented with a strong ability to successfully collaborate with peers.

โ€ข Strong ability to maintain high-level focus while multi-tasking in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
