Position Summary: HII: Mission Technologies is seeking a Water Treatment technician who will support our customer The US Army's Ground Vehicle Systems Center. This position supports the testing, evaluation, and routine maintenance of Army mobile fresh water treatment systems ensuring tactical water purification equiptment meets operational readiness, water quality and safterly standards. The water treatment technician assists senior personnel and engineers in the deployment, operation, and testing of mobile water purification units utilized by the Army.

The primany objective is to evaluate the performance of these mobile systems in producing potable water from fresh water sources under simulated feild conditions. HII's Mission Technologies Division, which has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization. that excels at working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities Assist in the setup, calibration, operation, and tear-down of mobile water treatment systems during testing phases Collect water samples and perform basic chemical and physical analysis (e.g., pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, total dissolved solids) under supervision Perform routine preventitve maintenance on pumps, reverse osmosis membranes, multimedia filters, hoses and generators associated with the water treatment units Record operational metrics (pressure, flow rates), test results, and maintenance actions accurately into facility logs and digital databases Adhere to all facility safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and standard operating proceedures (SOPs), during testing evolutions Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 0 years experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience. Basic Mechnaical aptitude and familiarity with standard hand tools. Ability to read and follow detailed technical manuals and test plans.

Must be able to attain a US DoD Secret security clearance (therefore MUST be a US Citizen) Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. This role requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing for prolonged periods on concrete or uneven terrain Work is performed both indoors and in a labrotory/warehousesetting and outdoors, in varying weather conditions during mobile system field testing Mandatory use of PPE including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and hearing protection when operating heavy machinery The listed salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities.
