Job description

The Occupational Therapy Program at Walsh University is creating a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to assist in areas of need for laboratory or lecture based instruction. We want to identify potential faculty with expertise in a variety of areas including psychosocial OT practice, physical disabilities in adults and geriatrics, pediatrics, evidence-based-practice, neuroscience, and human anatomy. Responsibilities may include course instruction consistent with the ACOTE accreditation standards for entry-level practice, assistance with lab based activities, grading assignments, communication with other faculty for development of course content, and being available for office hours with students either in person or virtually.
Minimum Qualifications:
--Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with diverse populations
-Current Occupational Therapy license
-At least three years of experience in clinical practice
-Ability to use technology in teaching including navigating a learning management system.
-Ability to work a flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
-Doctoral degree preferred; Applicants with a Masters degree may be considered
-Experience teaching face-to-face or online
-Experience as Fieldwork Educator
-Working knowledge of APA 7th Edition
