Job Title: Junior Project Manager

Position Status: Full-time

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Junior Project Manager supports the execution of custom millwork, casework, and fixture manufacturing projects from contract award through production and delivery. This role assists with coordination between engineering, sourcing, fabrication, and installation teams to help ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.

This position operates in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment with compressed timelines and high client expectations. The Junior Project Manager works closely with senior project management staff to support project execution, maintain project documentation, assist with schedule tracking, and facilitate communication between internal departments, vendors, and clients. Epicor serves as the central system for project tracking, documentation, and financial management.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist with project execution from contract award through engineering, production, and final delivery.
  • Support multiple custom manufacturing projects simultaneously in a fast-turn environment.
  • Help ensure alignment between design intent, engineering drawings, and production output.
  • Assist internal teams with maintaining project schedules and deliverables.
  • Utilize Epicor for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Planning, Scheduling & Production Coordination
  • Participate in internal kickoff meetings with Engineering, Sourcing, Production, and Operations.
  • Assist in maintaining production schedules tied to shop capacity and lead times.
  • Coordinate with shop personnel, vendors, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery.
  • Help identify scheduling conflicts and communicate issues to senior project managers.
  • Participate in project status meetings and maintain action item tracking.

Scope, Cost, and Change-Order Support

  • Assist with tracking project scope, materials, and specifications.
  • Support change-order documentation and communication.
  • Work with estimating and sourcing teams to gather pricing and material information.
  • Maintain organized project records and documentation.

Financial and Administrative Support

  • Assist with tracking project costs, budgets, and financial documentation.
  • Support BOM updates and document control within Epicor.
  • Help maintain accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.

Communication & Client Coordination

  • Support communication between internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with project updates, meeting notes, and documentation.
  • Help maintain accurate and complete project files.

Other Responsibilities

  • Travel as needed for site visits, field verification, production reviews, or installation coordination.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support project success.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • 1โ€“3 years of project coordination, manufacturing, construction, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of shop drawings, fabrication processes, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred
