POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will have to assist in managing and automating our software development, deployment, and infrastructure operations. You will work closely with development and operations teams to improve system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. The role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software release process.
  • Maintain and improve onsite-based infrastructure (VM, Docker, Hyper-V).
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Support configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
  • Assist in managing containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of DevOps practices.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance measures.
  • Document processes, configurations, and system changes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of networking, security, and system administration fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies.
